We are excited to announce that WaterColor Inn will be undergoing a major renovation beginning August 22, 2021. These renovations are aimed at bringing even more family-friendly amenities to our award-winning hotel daily, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until the renovations are completed in the spring of 2022. Please note that you may experience noise during those hours. As well, some amenities and access points may be affected during this time.
To keep our guests informed, below are FAQ's that will continue to be updated as the expansion develops. As can be the case with construction projects, all updates are to the best of our knowledge and are subject to change.
Construction will begin on August 22, 2021, and will take place daily, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the renovations are completed in Spring 2022.
Seven Suites, varying from 996 – 1,070 sq. ft. in size, including three 1-bedroom suites (two with bunk bed area) and four 2-bedroom suites. These include:
New 2,800 Sq. Feet Zero-Entry Family Pool with Kid’s Area
Expanded Outdoor Lounge Area, Including:
New Outdoor/Indoor Bar
Reimagining of The Gathering Spot as an upscale private dining experience for hotel guests and Watersound Club members.
Updated Lobby Restrooms on the First Floor
Inn Spa, Inn Adult Pool, Library, Lounge, Meeting Rooms and Lower Lobby Restrooms
InnSpa will be closed indefinitely beginning August 22, 2021.
All pool and Inn Green entrances will be closed during this time.
The boardwalk from the beach/beach club to FOOW will be removed during this time.

We are currently accepting reservations and are extending refundable rates for new bookings within the hotel’s cancellation policy timeframe of two weeks. Given the fluidity of the situation, we will continue to adapt our procedures as needed. Please refer back to this page frequently for the most up-to-date information.

We continue to uphold the highest sanitation and guest-servicing standards for our Forbes four-star property. In accordance with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Executive Order signed on May 3, 2021, face masks are now optional for our guests and associates. Additionally, we have adjusted our hotel operations in accordance with guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and State of Florida, including but not limited to:
Effective March 15, 2021, the WaterColor Community Association, has modified it's curfew to 8 p.m. until further notice. The curfew applies to unsupervised minors under the age of 18.
