Northwest Florida's Acclaimed Resort Offers Incredible Natural Setting For Nuptials

Santa Rosa Beach, FL – The AAA Four Diamond WaterColor Inn & Resort, perfectly nestled between sugar white sand dunes on the Gulf of Mexico and verdant woodlands, has created a new option for betrotheds to tie the knot: "Weddings at Western Lake," a package that features a beautiful ceremony and reception overlooking the resort's rare coastal dune lake.

Featuring the necessities for a dazzling celebration, the wedding package includes unique indoor and outdoor venue options, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and service staff for up to 100 guests. Couples can choose from a variety of sites for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, including The BoatHouse, Western Lake Park, The BaitHouse Restaurant or The BaitHouse Pool Deck, each of which offers a picturesque view of Western Lake.

Named one of the "Top 10 Culinary Country Inns" in the U.S. by Bon Appétit magazine in 2008, WaterColor Inn & Resort's topnotch catering team has created a savory menu for the "Weddings at Western Lake." Following an intimate ceremony, the affair begins with cocktail hour featuring delicious hors d'oeuvre stations with plump, boiled local Gulf shrimp served with cocktail and remoulade sauces, baked oysters and assorted bruschetta.

The affair next continues with a "strolling dinner reception" menu showcasing locally procured fish, meat, cheese and vegetables. Guests can dine at their leisure with buffet-style stations featuring heirloom and fried green tomato salad sprinkled with cheese and bacon aioli, Yukon gold potato gratin, sweet corn and field pea succotash, grilled asparagus with lemon vinaigrette, and hearty favorites like carved herb-roasted beef tenderloin and grilled Gulf fish or free-range chicken breasts with tomato beurre blanc. A highlight of the evening will most definitely be when the newlyweds cut the decadent three-layer wedding cake designed by WaterColor's talented pasty chefs.

Couples who choose a memorable "Wedding on Western Lake" need not worry about a single detail as the package includes tables, chairs, linens, plates, silverware, glassware, dance floor, servers and bartenders. Plus, an onsite wedding coordinator will be on hand to ensure the special day is stress-free.

Wedding guests at WaterColor Inn & Resort have the option of staying in one of the Inn's 60 beachfront guestrooms or in fully furnished one-to seven-bedroom vacation homes. Newlyweds are invited to stay on and celebrate their honeymoon with one of WaterColor's romantic vacation packages, which include spa treatments at the InnSpa, Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
The resort covers 499 acres and offers numerous amenities for guests' enjoyment. From kayaking, canoeing and biking with complimentary gear to tennis, a state-of-the-art fitness center and CampWaterColor for kids, there's plenty for everyone to do. Additional activities can be arranged such as a boat ride on the lake, a barefoot beach bonfire, spa day for the bridal party, an Orvis-guided fishing excursion or a golf outing or for the groomsmen as resort guests have access to the Tom Fazio-designed Camp Creek Golf Club, Greg Norman-designed Shark's Tooth Golf Club and the Davis Love, III-designed Origins Course.

The "Wedding at Western Lake" package costs $13,500 for up to 100 guests. It is available in June, July, August, November, December, January and February. Sales tax and 20% service charge are additional.
